Hand-Assembled Construction

Each E 25KX subwoofer is assembled and inspected by hand to ensure exceptional quality and performance. With a power handling of up to 600 watts RMS, this dual 4-ohm voice coil subwoofer is designed to excel in sealed enclosures, delivering highly accurate and forceful bass.

Powerful Magnet

Equipped with a massive two-segment magnet, the subwoofer's motor assembly is driven with precision, ensuring reliable performance even at high volumes. The rugged zamak zinc alloy basket provides dependable support and prevents distortion caused by intense music playback.

Advanced Cone Design

The subwoofer features a 3-layer cone design for enhanced rigidity and lightweight construction. A butyl rubber surround maintains control of the cone during deep excursion, while the composite sandwich cone with a structural foam central core, Aramid fiber layer, and glass layer delivers high-quality sound reproduction with thunderous sound pressure.

  • K2 Sandwich Cone:
    The aramid fibre cone incorporates Focal's advanced expertise, featuring an ultralight foam core sandwiched between thin layers of aramid fibre and fibreglass. This unique construction provides a balance of rigidity, lightness, and damping, resulting in precise and dynamic sound reproduction.
  • TMD® Surround:
    Utilising Tuned Mass Damper (TMD®) technology, the speaker drivers feature a specially designed surround profile to control resonance effects and reduce distortion caused by cone deformations. This ensures well-defined and realistic midrange frequencies.
  • TKME Tweeter:
    The 'M'-profile TKME tweeter extends frequency response up to 22 kHz with minimal distortion, delivering smooth and precise high-frequency reproduction. Its 'push-pull' motor, based on IAL2 technology, achieves low resonance frequencies for balanced harmonics.
  • FRAK Tweeter:
    Found in the ES 165 KX2E and ES 165 KX3E kits, Focal's 'M'-shaped FRAK tweeter combines aluminium and magnesium for improved frequency response and damping. Its lightweight design enhances high-frequency performance.
  • Increased Linearity and Precision:
    The progressive spider design of the K2 Power speaker drivers enhances bass impact and linearity, improving sound dynamics and precision.
  • Increased SPL:
    Featuring a Radial VC cooling system, hot air from the speaker driver coil is expelled towards the bottom of the motor, effectively managing coil temperature and improving reliability. This enhances speaker driver dynamics and generates powerful sound output.
  • Optimised Crossovers:
    Components used in the K2 Power crossovers are carefully selected and optimised to control heat dissipation effects, ensuring reliable and efficient management of channels and soundstage.
