Power Supply Important Info Whilst this amp has standard connectors and similar functions to other mono amps, but the power requirements are much different. The IPA7001D will require a heavy duty power supply, preferably a second amplifier. This amplifier is not for rookie installations or for rookies to install. An amplifier's job is to provide enough power to move the speaker cone (with a power hungry speaker, they are harder to move, hence the bigger power output), if that power going to the amp drops or is intermittent, it could cause the amp to clip the subwoofer!
