6 1/2” (165 MM) 2-WAY COMPONENT KIT


Composed of two 6 1/2” (165mm) woofers and two TKME tweeters, the ES 165 KE kit is a compact, easy-to-install system.


The speaker drivers’ K2 cones diffuse super dynamic, razor-sharp sound. Born from Focal’s expertise in all things acoustic, they combine the assets of lightness, rigidity and damping, all prerequisites of a good speaker driver.


The inverted dome TKME tweeters also feature an aramid fibre dome. Their exclusive ‘M’-shaped profile helps to improve control of cone deformation and to reproduce the high frequencies smoothly and accurately. The tweeters can be mounted in different ways: in the factory locations, flush or on angled brackets, for all-encompassing installation options.


The kit is supplied with aluminium grilles.

K2 Sandwich Cone: The aramid fiber cone features an ultralight foam core sandwiched between layers of aramid fiber and fiberglass. This construction ensures a balance of rigidity, lightness, and damping, resulting in precise and dynamic sound reproduction.

TMD® (Tuned Mass Damper) Surround: Incorporates Focal's patented TMD® technology, which stabilizes the surround's profile to reduce distortion and enhance the accuracy of midrange frequencies.

TKM "M"-Shaped Inverted Dome Tweeter: The unique "M"-shaped design of the aramid fiber inverted dome tweeter provides improved sound dispersion and delivers detailed, natural high frequencies.

Robust Design: Built with high-quality materials, including a sturdy aluminum chassis, ensuring durability and consistent performance.
